Ok, I’ll admit it. I’m a bit of a gym rat.
I’ve been drawn to health and fitness since my late teens. I don't know why, but I find the gym oddly therapeutic. I guess I enjoy having 90 minutes of time just for me. A time where I can just focus on my own goals, without the distractions of daily life.
Balancing work, social, and gym life has always been a difficult (as it’s meant to), but throw Relapsing Remitting Multiple Sclerosis into the mix and things became slightly more challenging
I’m still learning how to drive MS. What I can and can’t do. I’ve had to alter my routine, my entire lifestyle, but I’m determined not to let it get the better of me. Stop me from doing what I love, or get in the way of my goals.
I feel uniquely qualified to be the subject of my own ‘mini experiment’. You know that saying about life and lemons. Discover what living with MS is really like. How it affects my gym life, my working life, and my personal relationships. Keep myself informed of all the latest and greatest MS innovations. Conduct a real life study to find out if MS and the gym can play nice.
I’ll publish the results here on my blog:
So follow along. Share with me the good days, the bad days, the chest days, and the leg days (because who enjoys leg day?!)
